Over four million hours trained, and counting; Subscribers in all 50 States in the U.S. and 126 countries worldwide.
October marked three years of Techne Futbol. What began as a series of YouTube “backyard skill challenges” created by professional and U.S. Women’s National Team player Yael Averbuch is now a subscription-based mobile app which has grown to benefit individual players and teams, from youth to professionals, all over the world.
Techne is a Greek word that is often translated as craftsmanship, craft, or art. That’s how members are encouraged to view the development of their individual skills, which then becomes accessible to them in their group sessions and games.
Techne has also formed partnerships with over 250 groups -- from high school and college teams, to ODP, clubs, and youth national teams -- to integrate self-training as part of their program’s culture.
With a fourth year on the horizon, Techne continues to advance the technology that is helping to foster a culture where players are taught to take ownership of their development.
