Yael Averbuch will speak at the United Soccer Coaches Convention on “Inspiring Players To Train On Their Own,” a talk directed at coaches in order to promote individual training and a lasting love of the game among their players. Her presentation will take place at the Convention’s inaugural Innovation Hub, inside the exhibit hall, on Friday, January 17 at 11:15 am.
The goal of the presentation is to communicate the long-term results of fostering independent skill development. This is acknowledged as the driving force behind the worldwide soccer culture and also empowers players to develop and enjoy the game in a way that transcends their youth club experience.
The presentation is based on the guiding principles of Techne Futbol, a skills-based training app founded by Averbuch that allows players to devote time to individual development, even in as little as ten minutes a day. Averbuch will share compelling personal examples of why this individual training is so effective.
The 2020 Innovation Hub, created by United Soccer Coaches to highlight technologies that are changing the game, will give 12 tech companies a platform to share their products. Averbuch will have the opportunity to put on display how Techne Futbol has used technology over the past three years to influence player development in all 50 States in the U.S. and 126 countries worldwide. To date, players using the app have generated over four million hours trained.
